Wheel answers
- NOTE
- A short written record or an explanatory annotation.
- TONE
- The attitude conveyed by a writer’s language.
- TEXT
- A piece of written or spoken language considered as an object of study.
- QUOTE
- To reproduce another source’s exact words with acknowledgement.
Discussion notes
The claim is that the library should stay open later. The evidence is the request from twelve study-group members. That group may not represent all library users. A broader survey, attendance counts at closing time, and staffing information could help assess demand and feasibility. The request alone does not prove a school-wide need.
Compare answers in pairs. Can each writer distinguish what the source says from what they infer? Different reasonable limitations are welcome; assess the explanation, not whether it matches this wording.
